Tuesdays: Margaret Shulock

Like most kids Margaret Shulock loved to draw but, unlike most kids, she never stopped.
As time went on Margaret began sending weekly, hand drawn postcards to her parents, often in the form of cartoons. In 1995 these cartoons became “Sticks,” a self published calendar and a single panel cartoon in the Olean Times Herald.
The following year King Features published her work in “New Breed.” In January of 2000 “Six Chix” was launched and Margaret became the Tuesday chick. These days Margaret is also a contributing writer for “Barney Google and Snuffy Smith,” and the sole writer of “Apartment 3-G.”
Born in Canastota, New York, Margaret lives in New York’s Allegany hills where the woods are full of talking animals.
