The hardest part about selling items on ebay is writing those attractive sales pitches, and believe me, as someone who has used ebay to buy quite a bit… I know what attracts ME!
I’ve been planning to clean out my closets, and ebay sent that come-on for 5 free auction ads. Well, why not take them up on it? I picked out some nice items, things I loved but never ended up using or wearing and thought… how to make these attractive? I came up with the idea of illustrating the ads with cartoons and drawings. I just uploaded 3 ads.
The drawing above I did to highlight a fabulous brown leather and recycled fur bag I got at a craft show years ago.
Below, I added these stylish blue boots to a cartoon I already had that seemed to fit.

And finally, so far, (these ads take a lot of time!) I added a cute red purse I wanted to sell to another cartoon:

If you want, you can see these drawings in context. Here are the items code #s:
The leather and fur bag is here: 320436841801
The blue boots are here: 320437223612
and the red bag is here: 320437231521
The brown leather bag has 1 bid already! Who knows if the others will? If they sell, I will definitely experiment with some more auction ad cartoons!

I never thought of that for an ad, Steph. You are so creative. Of course they will sell with these wonderful ads. Knowing they came from a famous artist they might buy more and more. Great idea.

Margaret, you are too nice! I highlighted the images and copied them and cleaned them up to add to the cartoons.
Funny, the one bid I had for the big leather bag, the person said they didn’t realize but they were allergic to fur!!! So, who knows if those items will sell. There’s SO much on ebay!
