Hello. This is a vacation painting from something I saw out the window on the highway. It didn’t really look exactly like a mermaid, but there was a combination of cirrus (look like strands of hair) and cirrocumulus (look like fish scales). And yes, I did have to look up those cloud terms in my son’s science book.

Isy, your painting re-confirms something I’ve been talking about with several friends; this has been an incredible summer for clouds! I can’t remember seeing such amazing formations on a daily basis.

This is such a pretty watercolor. It really captures the feeling of a cloud drifting by, shaping, and breaking up as it goes.
