We Six Chix were given the Kreativ Blogger award by our friend and faithful reader, Jean. Jean writes a thought provoking blog of her own called the Garden City LENS. Go check it out; Jean is a real live writer and has published a book of short stories titled Tales From The Garden City. I’m reading it right now. [Well not RIGHT now but currently. Sorry I'm so slow, Jean.]
As “award winners” we are asked to pay this forward by linking to 7 blogs we love. Since there are six of us we’re doing things a bit differently. Isabella started us off with some of her favorite blogs and I’ll continue with my must-reads. And I should clarify, there are wonderful blogs out there that I only read when I have loads of free time. As a dial-up user I suffer from high speed envy and usually stick to blogs that load quickly.
Another frequent commenter on this blog is Kassie who has 2 blogs of her own. If you love plants, flowers, beautiful photos and entertaining writing check out The Clueless Gardener and her cartoon studded, gardening blog: I Brake For Delphiniums.
Anne Hambrock is a professional harpist, a writer and a woman of amazing energy and countless talents. Oh, and she also happens to be married to John Hambrock the creator of King Features The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee. You can follow my link to Anne but it might be even better to see the entire Edison Lee website before you click on “Behind the Scenes.”

And lastly a blog about Apartment 3-G that I happened to stumble on when the writer left a comment on our blog. Maggie devotes her whole blog to a daily review of the Girls.( Yes, sometimes it’s a little snarky but I don’t mind; just spell Margo’s name right! ) Maggie is a true fan and knows her 3-G facts well. It’s also a great place to find deep archives if you’re wondering just who this Monk person is??

Now for a few things you don’t know about me.
I appear taller online than I actually am in person.
Years ago I left a crowded auditorium to smoke a cigarette. Just as I squashed out my butt the elevator doors opened and the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi stepped out . ALONE! We had a brief conversation and I returned to the auditorium about ten paces behind the little guy everyone was waiting to see. Smoking isn’t always bad!
I’m the baby of the family and have two older brothers. My Mother told me she couldn’t bear having another boy but didn’t pick out a girl’s name for fear of jinxing things. She came up with Margaret at the last minute; for the 9 months before I was born my name was Steve. I sometimes still answer to that.

Thanks Margaret – I mean Steve. I’m the youngest of 3 girls, so I was probably supposed to be a boy.. Really enjoyed your 3 things…

I enjoyed that as well! And am the youngest of six (including the youngest of the girls). We are all “the baby”. My mother used to say, “Sooome baby!”

Well, as a baby, I’m clearly in great company!
Love your illustrations, Margaret!

Wow! I am so honored to be named here…what did Garth use to say–”I am not worthy!” Thank you for your very kind words.
I promise to struggle on and endeavor to be worthy. And Merry and Happy to everybody out there in 6Chx Land!
Cheers,
Kassie

I love your blog. IT is just so great, you know it is!!
I was thrilled this morning to see that you are a fan of the Clue Gardener and I Brake for Delphiniums. I have long been a fan of hers.. and I wrote her a fan letter and started receiving the most incredible XMAS cartoon illustrations. You should all try and do it! Thanks for all you do to put the word out on the cleverest of people. including YOU of course!
