Thanks so much, Jim. Those are nice words coming from my fav NPR essayist. If fruit is any indication it seems Mother Nature is gearing up for a rough winter.The Ash trees are heavy with seed clusters and acorns and beechnuts are unusually plentiful. Good news for the deer and turkeys but not so good for our heating bills, I fear.

Dear Margaret,

I believe Jim would love what you have written here, I know that I do, thank you for expressing what needs to be said and done so poetically.
Now, more than ever, our voices have to be heard over the din of nonsense that has taken hold over our nation. I saw a quote the other day, “Republicans love their country, they just hate half the people in it.”
I’m wondering where, love thy neighbor went?
As a woman, I love, I care, I think (for myself thank you very much) and I count.
